- Metropolitan State University leaders say they are in a dire need for a science facility but the need state dollars to help. Currently Metro State is the only state university without a science building. Project advocates say the new building will help them expand their four year degree offerings as well as meet space demands due to increasing enrollment. The building would feature multiple labs, classrooms and academic support space. They are asking for $35.9 million.

I urge members of the Minnesota Senate Capital Investment Committee to strongly consider funding this very worthwhile project.
