• The Minnesota Zoo has identified a significant backlog of repair and replacement projects to State-owned buildings and grounds that will require approximately $54 million to adequately address. The current focus is on obtaining the funding needed to finish the most critical of those projects—completing the transformation of the Zoo’s main entrance and related exhibit areas. Project advocates say this will enrich guests’ initial introduction to the Zoo by improving essential amenities and expanding exhibits for meerkats and snow monkeys, completing the renovations of Discovery Bay to provide a home for highly endangered Hawaiian monk seals and making essential infrastructure repairs. Actual amount: $12,000,000
